SERIE A2 TIM

FRESH 40 YEARS OLS HELD STAR OF THE 8TH ROUND’S BIG MATCH

Serie A2 is back. After the break for the All Star Volley 2007, it is time to start again with the 8th round. Loreto and Catania are the leaders, eight formations behind them within a few points.

The big match of this round (live on SKY Sport 2 at 18.00) will be played in Santa Croce where Codyeco will host Premier Hotels Crema with ex Henky held, who celebrated his 40th birthday this week. The Atalanta ’96 Olympic champion is the oldest athlete of the Serie A2.

Away from home is Esse-Ti Carilo Loreto who will fly to Sardinia to meet Tiscali Cagliari for what will be, in history, their 15th challenge. Both teams won 7 matches each.

SP TTTLines Catania, after the stop with Verona, will try to get back on their feet against new comer Raccorderie Metalliche Mantova played at Pala Livatino di Acicastello (CT), formation who just acquired a new coach, Mr. Guaresi. The sicialians will be without Quiroga, busy with his national team. Possible the use of captain Martinengo from the beginning.

The match between Divani&Divani Avellino and Fiorese SpA Bassano will be peculiar. They both have a new coach, Dalla Fina for Bassano and Aniello Mosca for Avellino.

Another match at the top will be the one in Castellana Grotte between Materdomini Volley.it and Marmi Lanza Verona. Without forgetting about Olio Pignatelli Isernia and Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia who will want to stay high in the standings. Monini Marconi spoleto, who mutually agreed on the departure of brasilian Bruno Augusto furtado, will try and stir their journey after 5 consecutive defeats in Taviano against Stilcasa Salento d’amare.

Finally the match between Framasil Cucine Pineto, last in the standings and Mare&Volley Forlì.
