Trentino began its playoffs 12 with a dominating victory in Belgium against Maaseik. Despite the severe defeat inflicted, the qualification is not guaranteed as Trento will have to win again at home to avoid the Golden Set. This was the seventh consecutive 3-0 win for Trento, the sixth in seven games in the Champions League. Only bad note of the night was the ankle injury of Mitar Djuric. Update on the injury will come on the return to Italy.

This was not an easy road game for Monza but in the end it came out on top against Remat Zalau in the Cev Cup Challenge Round first leg. The Italians won the first set before the hosts tied it. But Monza managed to clinch a tight fourth set to avoid a tie-break.
