Gazzetta award 2011/2012
Alessandro Fei wins 40th edition
Alessandro Fei won the Gazzetta Award 2012. The Belluno captain will begin the playoff with this prestigious acknowledgement, which was thought out in 1973 by Carlo Gobbi, an important Italian volleyball journalist. This award goes to the best player of the regular season. Zaytsev finished second of the standings and Juantorena third. The award will be handed in to Fei during Belluno’s first playoff quarter-final game on Saturday April 7 against Latina.

Atripalda and Cantù already relegated.
Three teams in the playouts. Coming fixtures
Atripalda and Cantù will play in the lower division next season. Atripalda is going down without going into the playouts because the difference of points with the 12th classified will remain over 12 after the last round. Three teams will therefore take part in the playouts: Club Italia Roma, Isernia and Reggio Emilia. One team will stay up and the other two will go down. The last regular season round will reveal which team between Club Italia and Isernia goes directly to the playout final.
PLAYOUT FORMULA
The best classified team will start with a win advantage in each series. Three wins are needed to take the series. Game 3 and 5 will be hosted by the best classified team at the end of the regular season.
Semi-finals: l13th versus 14th. The loser goes down, the winner in the playout final.
April 12-15-18-22
Final: The 12th versus semi-final winner. The loser goes down in the B1, the winner stays up.
