Libero Andrea Giovi made everybody at the club by signing a new deal which will keep him in Perugia for a fourth consecutive season. “I am honoured and proud to wear the shirt of my home town, not many have this privilege” he said as he becomes the player who stayed the longest at the club. “The team finished again among the best and this summer the club is working hard to stay on top. Hopefully, the hard work will pay off and we’ll obtain some excellent results. We kept most of last season’s players, which means we’re building something good. I have always thought the team spirit is crucial in a club and that’s why I think us players who were already there could be very important in that regard. But obviously we’ll all have to work hard in the gym, because that’s where all the success stories start”.
