Siena offered resistance and showed improvement in the friendly game played against the SuperLega team of Ravenna. The guests eventually won it 3-1 but Giannini’s men made encouraging progress against an opponent of the level above. Siena was without Picco and Bencz but with the Montenegrin outise hitter Mladen Majdak, who’s on trial. All the takings of a lottery draw went to charity, to an association created by former Italian international Damiani Pippi, who aims to gather funds for the Castiglion del Lago hospital.
