Alessano gave the keys to the team to Vincenzo Mastrangelo. The latter is coming off a season at Vibo Valentia, which he led to victory in the Italian Cup A2 and to the playoffs final. In the past, he also obtained a promotion in the A1 with Taranto.
“As soon as the club heard I had not taked future with Vibo yet, they showed their will to bring me in Alessano – explained coach Mastrangelo – I really appreciated it. They gave me all the time in the world to think it over, even if we have been in touch every day. They accepted the way I see the job of coaching. I am thrilled to face this new challenge with a team from the Apulia region. It’s been a long time since I coached a team from my region. I think there is everyting needed to have a good season, even if we still have to discover the rosters of our opponents and more importantly we still have to build ours”.
