Ortona intends on building around talented youngsters and the last one to join the club is Nicolò Casaro. Born in 1994, 197cm tall, the outside hitter came up in Padova’s youth ranks and made his pro debut there in 2012-13 in the Serie A2. In 2014-15, he moved to Motta in the B1 division, where he had one superb performance after another last season. He’s a player with excellent work ethic, determination and one who keeps his feet on the ground.

“I am very happy to be able to play in such an important league full of strong and experienced players – he said – I trained hard and I gave 100% during the whole season and I’m glad I received the call from an important club like Ortona. I’ve heard a lot of good about the club and its fans from everyone so I think this is the right place for me to keep learning”.
