Tuscania 2016-17 keeps five of the players who lived the dream last season. The latest to put pen to paper is Riccardo Mazzon. Born in 1996, the young spiker made himself noticed for his excellent dig and good reception. Physically impressive, he came up in Treviso’s youth ranks and took part in the B1 division in 2014-15 with Trento. Last summer, he was called by Italy’s Under 21 to take part in a camp before joining Tuscania.
“I was extremely pleased to sign a new contract – said Mazzon – Tuscania was my first experience at professional level, we had an excellent season which helped me understand a lot of things. I know the new coach is demanding, that he expects maximum effort from everyone but that does not scare me, I am ready to work hard and show what I am capable of”.
