Siena is working hard for the coming season. Just a few days after the addition of libero Cesarini and the completion of the coaching staff led by Tofoli, in comes the contract extension of spiker Sergio Noda Blanco. Born in 1987, the Cuban spiker with Spanish passport has already played several seasons in the Italian A2 and SuperLega since his arrival in 2009. He arrived in Siena in the second half of season and greatly contributed with his talent, character and tenacity.
“I am happy to stay and be part of what has become of the most important clubs in Italian Volleyball – said Noda Blanco – I really wanted to stay because I felt at ease here ever since I arrived. I received a great welcome from the fans. The club is extremely ambitious and that’s why I’m proud of being part of it. I can’t wait to get started and build on what we have started last season. I’m sure the club will put together a strong team to aim high. We’ll definitely have some fun”.
