Verona announced the two-year signing of middle blocker Stefano Mengozzi. Coach Giani will therefore have three middle blockers for 2016-17: Mengozzi, Aidan Zingel and Simone Anzani. Last season, Mengozzi finished seventh blocker of the SuperLega tied with Anzani (46).
“We’ve added a player with great experience to our roster – said sport director – In recent years, he has always been starter in the top division. Mengozzi wrote the history of Ravenna, where he spent 8 consecutive seasons, the last five in the top division.
