After three losses, Diatec Trentino is back to the win, struggling, suffering, and winning in a tought tie break versus Taiwan Excellence Latina. It was a comeback win for Angelo Lorenzetti’s team, after being down 2 sets to nothing, with first two sets won by Vincenzo Di Pinto’s team. 25-23 and 25-22 the scores in favour of Top Volley Latina in first two sets, and in third the reaction of the home team, who stepped up thanks to a bunch of great serves by brasilian middle blocker Eder Carbonera (great game for him, 8 blocks and 4 aces for the brasilian), who drove Trento to the comeback, by winning third and fourth both with the score of 25-20. In the tie break Carbonera continued with his powerful game, together with opposite Luca Vettori, 20 points for the italian national team opposite, and with canadian Nicholas Hoag, 17 points for him. In the end Trento won 15-10 tie break and game.
Angelo Lorenzetti (Diatec Trentino): “this win gave us back the smile, it was too long we didn’t win. We struggled in side outs in first two sets, showing our tension. We took these two points, we need these points, but we have to do alot of work, on all the aspects of our play”.
Vincenzo Di Pinto (Taiwan Excellence Latina): “We were in emergency, but we played a great game. we always fought, also in the sets we lost. In third set the game changed with the aces of Carbonera, giving some confidence to oour opponents. It’s hard to understand if tonight we are happy for the attitude or upset for the result”.
