Sir Safety Conad Perugia was last semifinalist of Credem Banca Superleague Playoffs, joining Azimut Leo Shoes Modena in a very interesting Semifinal, starting next tuesday at PalaBarton in Perugia.
On tonight Lorenzo Bernardi’s team defeated more or less clearly Vero Volley Monza in Quarterfinal Game 3, with a good performance by Wilfredo Leon, 17 points for the polish-cuban, and Aleksandar Atanasijevic, MVP of the Game with 11 points.
After the loss in Kazan last wednesday, Perugia reacted with the right approach to this important game, focusing on the target and trying to step up, and they did it. On the other hand Fabio Soli’s team gave everything on the court, after the tie break win in Game 2 they weren’t able to contain the big offensive power of Perugia, finishing anyway a good season, with the final in Challenge Cup and a good Playoff series versus the defending champ.
