Cucine Lube Civitanova won the 2020/2021 Credem Banca Superleague, for the sixth time in his history. It was a great final, after great playoffs and after a great season. Cucine Lube Civitanova sealed for the sixth time the win of the italian championship, once again winning the final over Sir Safety Conad Perugia. It was a very emotional series and an emotional playoffs, with some coaches who left the benches, from both finalist’s sides, during the playoffs. Vital Heynen of Perugia left the team after Game 2 in the final, substituted by assistant Carmelo Fontana, on Lube’s side Fefè De Giorgi left the bench in favour of italian national team coach Gianlorenzo Blengini. In the end Civitanova well deserved this win, making some big steps in the semifinals and in the finals, losing in both series Game 1 and coming back winning the threes after. This is a very important attitude of winning mentality, being able to step up in the crunch time and grabbing the win in the end. MVP of the final series was once again captain Osmany Juantorena, who stepped up once again, driving Lube to another great trophy. Game 4 was an intense one, with Lube who seemed to be really focused on this win but at the same time with Perugia determined to fight until the end. And so it was. Perugia fought hard until the very end, giving everything on the court. It was a team win for Lube, a win of the team and of the club, who mad courageous decisions during a very delicate moment of the season, tough choices which turned into winning choices.
