Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza returns to play at PalabancaSport on Sunday 27 November (6.00 pm), to face the Italian Champions of Cucine Lube Civitanova in the match valid for the ninth first leg of the SuperLega Credem Banca championship.

Challenge number seven is the one coming up against the team from the Marches. There are six precedents between the two teams all in the Regular Season.

The balance is five victories for Civitanova, while on only one occasion it was the red and white sextet who rejoiced. Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza’s only success came last season: on the second day of the first leg in Civitanova, the red and white prevailed in the tie break in a comeback (25-23, 16-25, 25-23, 22-25, 12- 15). And that was also the only match of the six played so far that ended in the fifth set.

The match with the highest score between the two teams also dates back to last season: the second day of the first leg when Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza prevailed in Civitanova at the tie break and the match recorded 211 overall points.

As for the “most fought” set, however, we are talking about the 2020-2021 season: the fifth day of the first leg, at PalabancaSport the first set went to the Marches 31-29 and at the end of the match it was Lube who celebrated, leaving the red and whites from Piacenza a only sets.

The easiest partial is dated the 2019-2020 season, first day of return: in Piacenza the team from the Marche won in the third set 25-13.
