Cosimo Balestra in Vibo

Middle blocker Cosimo Balestra, fresh winner of the European gold with the Under 20 national team, joined the Giallorossi group.
A few hours after the blue success in Abruzzo against Poland at the end of five grueling partial, the Apulian central, 19 years old on November 30th, reached Vibo to make himself available to the Brazilian coach Cezar Douglas. In view of the “start” in the regular season of this exciting Serie A2 tournament (Sunday 9 October at 18.00 in the away match in Lagonegro), Tonno Callipo Volley is training for the first time in full since yesterday, being able to rely on even on the young player who was missing to have the entire roster, made up of fourteen elements.
The new European Under 20 Champion Cosimo Balestra, known to everyone as Mino, officially began his experience in the Giallorossi jersey with yesterday’s afternoon session and joint training with Lagonegro this afternoon.
The pre-season preparation program foresees that the team will work only in the afternoon tomorrow and then, on Friday 30 September, after the weights session in the gym in the morning, at 17:30 it will return to the field at PalaMaiata (facility that will host all the matches of the Giallorossi for the 2022/23 season) to play the test match against Castellana Grotte.
