Another well-known face on the biancoblu roster: Omar Biglino, born in 1995 for 198 cm tall, arrives in the middle for Siena. Originally from Alba, the middle blocker has experience in SuperLeague with Perugia when he was called in to replace Fabio Ricci, who was injured at the time. In Perugia there remains a second year before the last season with Motta di Livenza.

Biglino is formed with Club Italia before stabilizing in Serie A2 in the two-year period in Potenza Picena, then with Massa and with Mondovì. It was during the second season in Mondovì that he took the opportunity of the top flight to run to the aid of Coach Heynen in Perugia.

“I was playing in Mondovì then around November the opportunity to go to Perugia came up. Unfortunately that season was marked by the Covid events but the following year I was very happy with the reconfirmation. ”

Biglino entered the sights of the biancoblu club even before the news of Siena’s acquisition of the SuperLega title. We join him while he is at work in a volley camp in Jesolo before relaxing a few weeks before the start of training.

“From the first moment I was flattered by the interest received. When a few weeks later the rumor began to circulate that Siena would make the SuperLega, I experienced both the exaltation for the leap in the category and the concern that the club would make other choices. Emma Villas then confirmed her interest and I was thrilled. The SuperLega is an opportunity that cannot be given up. I have the right motivations to be able to cut myself some space to be able to test myself and support the team ”.
