A training day on Lake Como for the new Pool Libertas Cantù by Coach Francesco Denora. The coach asked the club to organize a training session a little different from the usual sessions with the ball, weights, the swimming pool or the sand of the beach. A useful moment also to do some of the so-called “team building” among the players (10 are new) as they approach the Serie A2 Credem Banca championship.

The management staff thus immediately got to work, and which “team” sport better represents unity of movement and the need to “row on the same side” than rowing? Thus, thanks to the hospitality of the historic Canottieri Lario G. Sinigaglia 1891 from Como, a day “rowing” for the entire Pool Libertas Cantù. The appointment is for Thursday 1 September at 10 at the Lario headquarters. To do the honors there will be the President of the Lario, Leonardo Bernasconi, with the deputy Maurizio Ballabio, and the company technicians.

A 100% new experience for Cantù players. The only one who has tried rowing in the past is Frenchman Jonas Aguenier. “My mom was an excellent athlete,” he explains. For others it will be a very gradual approach. “We are talking about players who often exceed two meters, coordinated, but no one expects that they can immediately go out on the Olympic boats” smiles Pool Libertas DS, Maurizio Cairoli, who organized the day with managers Tete Pozzi and Paolo Annoni.

The idea, espoused by the President of the Pool Libertas Cantù Ambrogio Molteni, on the 40th anniversary of the Brianza club, is to start a series of partnerships and collaborations with sports clubs in the volleyball area and also in other disciplines. “The collaboration between sports associations is fundamental for the survival of sport itself – he comments -, we see it with the lack of facilities. If the Municipalities of Casnate with Bernate, Como and Cantù had not collaborated for the reopening of the PalaFrancescucci today many teams would be homeless. The happy coexistence in this structure makes us understand how much desire there is to help each other between the various companies in the area on many issues, regardless of the sport that is practiced. Of course, we need a change of pace from the public part on construction sites. I really hope that the Parini will be available soon, or really the deck will become shorter and shorter for everyone ”.
