The roster outlined and the calendars made official, the countdown for the 2023/24 season begins. A little less than a month from the first meeting at the PalaBarbazza where the usual athletic training will begin, seasoned with the pre-season test matches, the foundations have been laid for an important year at the Volley Team Club.

New faces and old acquaintances will join forces in a group, as coach Daniele Moretti comments, very balanced who on the one hand loses two protagonists such as Macerata and Fano, to which is added San Giustino, strengthened in the summer market after the excellent last season , and on the other introduces new products such as the Sardinian CUS Cagliari and Polisportiva Sarroch, the Piedmontese Acqui Terme and the Lombard Gabbiano Mantova.

In this transition between last season and the new season, we interviewed the one who will sit on our bench, our first coach Daniele Moretti. Already second at the Volley Team Club last year, he is making his debut as a coach in Serie A3 after an important career as a player between A1 and A2.

“Good morning coach, let’s start from the transfer market. With what criteria was this team structured?”
“With DS Tassan we have tried to form a balanced team in every department, a top-of-the-class opposing setter diagonal, a central department with good technique both in attack and blocking and the confirmations of Umek and Bassanello who proved to be of level players for this category. Then in David’s role there are 3 young guys who will certainly have stimuli and hunger, and who will put the technical staff in difficulty for the choices to be made.
The same goes for the other guys who have embraced our project: they have established players in the category ahead of them but with work in the gym I’m sure they will soon be able to carve out their space on the counrt. I’m very happy with this year’s team, we can work hard and this is always good, especially for a team made up of many young guys like ours. The results won’t be seen immediately but I’m sure the more experienced will give a big hand at the beginning of the process”.
