Second day of the single round of the Play Offs 5th place Credem Banca 22/23 for Vero Volley Monza, which hosts tomorrow, Wednesday 19 April, at the Monza Arena, at 7.30 pm (live volleyballworld.tv), the world champions in charge of Sir Safety Susa Perugia. After the important victory signed in Modena at the tie-break in the opening round of the tournament, the Monzesi, second in a ranking that sees Verona in the lead with full points, are aiming for an encore to consolidate their leading positions in view of another home match in the event: the match on Saturday evening, 7.30 pm, against Padova. In fact, the regulation provides that the first four of the standings at the end of the one-way matches of the Italian group (the last one for Monza will be on April 25 in Verona against WithU, because the blues will rest on the fifth day) will win a place in Semi-final (to be played at the home of the best classified).

Monza hasn’t beaten Perugia in Brianza since the 20/21 season, the season of records, finished in fourth place in the regular season and with the landing in the Semifinal Scudetto where it was the Umbrians who broke the dream of passing to the Final. Sir Safety Susa was once again one of the most difficult opponents for Beretta and his companions this season: 3-0 suffered on the first day of the first leg in Umbria and 0-3 at the Arena in the second leg. However, Eccheli’s team will try to replicate the determined and effective volleyball expressed against Modena, useful to go ahead 2-0 in the set count and win in a balanced tie-break with character. In Emilia, the collective performance expressed by the Lombards was embellished by the yes day of Maar and Davyskiba (MVP of the match).
