New taste of the championship for Consoli Sferc Centrale Brescia, in its penultimate week of preparation in view of the 2023/2024 season which will start on 15 October with the home match against Castellana Grotte.

The SFERC Trophy, now in its sixth edition thanks to the commitment of the Title sponsor Valgobbino and the Administration of the City of Lumezzane led by Mayor Facchini, is the last event of the preseason of the Toucans, who have already met Reggio Emilia, Piacenza, Sarroch and Marcianise, in addition to Monza, in Thursday’s test match.

Consoli, after the physical strengthening work, begins to reap the benefits of athletic preparation and aims to train the match pace and, even more so, the understanding on the pitch. The inclusion of three important pieces in the Brescia 6+1 requires time and practice to give the best performance results: the potential of the individuals is great, but it is always the game, the fluidity, the harmony between the departments that transform a good group into a compact team.

Valerio Campadelli, CEO of the SFERC company, a leader in the production of spheres for valves which every year renews its commitment to Atlantis and Lumezzane, knows this well: “Sixth consecutive year… this Trophy is becoming almost a fixed appointment for our town: it is a pleasure to see the most representative men’s team in the province play in our arena. We who produce balls for valves, have in common with volleyball not only the spherical shape of the ball, but, just like one in a sports team, we must know how to adapt to each match, to the sudden changes that the market offers us, giving every time the best we can give. We want the Lumezzane event to be a good omen for the championship and a moment of fun for the public who will come to cheer.”

The home athletes will be on the pitch at 5pm against coach Morato’s Delta Group Porto Viro, a sextet led by Fefè Garnica and many protagonists of the A2 series: the opposite is Barotto, a 212cm giant and born in 2005, the new face of the category , Zamagni and Sperandio are the centre-backs, Tiozzo and Pedro (Brazilian making his debut in Italy) are the forwards in position four, Morgese is the libero.

Entrance to the PalaFiera in via Cefalonia is free.
