Sport Director Luigi Anastasia drops the ace from his sleeve who, for the 2023-2024 season, ensures the performance of the Bulgarian spiker Simeon Topuzliev back from a season spent in the top Hungarian championship where he defended the colors of Macf Bme and the Turkish top division where he played for Gümüşsu Gümüşhanespor.
Born in 2000, 191 cm, he has a height of 345 cm with a run-up and 330 cm when standing still: a true star of opposing defenses and receptions, Topuzliev asserted himself around the world before deciding to wear the Leo Shoes Casarano with which he will face an Italian championship for the first time.
The Bulgarian athlete, in addition to distinguishing himself with the national team jersey in all youth competitions, played several seasons with excellent results between Romania, Germany and Bulgaria: he always stood out for his great skills as a striker and for a good wall and reception.
In the face of his first experience in the beautiful country, Topuzliev can’t wait to be talked about in Italy as well, letting his enthusiasm and great desire to do well shine through from his first words: “I am happy and enthusiastic about moving to Italy and playing for Casarano Volleyball. I’ve always wanted to prove myself in the Italian league and I can’t wait for the preparation and the season to start. I can’t wait to meet all the corporate and technical staff and teammates.
