Not only experience, Delta Group Porto Viro scores the first shot of perspective of its market: the official arrival of the spiker born in 2004 Gabriele Chiloiro, in the last three seasons under the Gamma Chimica Brugherio in Serie A3.

Originally from Melzo, in the Milan area, 203 centimeters tall and can also be used as an opposite, Chiloiro began playing volleyball in Volley Segrate. In 2018, not even fifteen, he moved to Powervolley Milano, thus making his debut in Serie B and earning a call to the U17 national team, with which he played the European Championship in Sofia.

The following year, the collaboration between Powervolley and Diavoli Rosa di Brugherio was born, a springboard that Chiloiro can exploit to continue his growth in an elite youth sector and put his first experiences in Serie A on his curriculum. In fact, in 2020/2021 he makes his debut with the Brugherio shirt in A3, a category in which today he can already boast 365 points scored in 57 overall appearances. At the same time, his youthful career was enriched by personal satisfactions (see call-up to the U19 national team) and laurels: U17 Italian Champion in 2021, U19 Vice-Champion of Italy in 2022, U20 Italian Champion (the most coveted tricolor, the one of the Junior League) also last year.

To guide him towards all these goals, drum roll, the new Delta Group technician Daniele Morato, until last summer “guru” of the Diavoli Rosa nursery. “I can’t hide the fact that the presence of coach Morato was very important for my choice: he trained me for three seasons in Brugherio and I grew a lot with him – declares Chiloiro – Being also my first experience away from home, I am sure that having a point of reference as he is positive for my maturation, as an athlete and as a man. Having said that, I am really enthusiastic about the proposal I received from Porto Viro, I thank the President Veronese and the club for their trust. I’m curious to discover the whole black and fuchsia world: they’ve always spoken well of this club and I can’t wait to get to know the staff, teammates and fans.”

For Chiloiro it will not only be the first time away from home, but also the first experience in a group with several already established athletes: “I arrive in Porto Viro with a lot of willingness and desire to learn, especially from my teammates who have many Serie A seasons at the shoulders. This is an important stage in my career and I am happy to undertake it here.
