The Serie A2 Play Off Semifinal series between Pool Libertas Cantù and Agnelli Tipiesse Bergamo will be decided tomorrow, Wednesday 3 May 2023, at 20.30 at the PalaFrancescucci in Casnate con Bernate, with the decisive Game-3. To the victory of the Canturini in last Wednesday’s tie-break, the Bergamo players responded with the same score, bringing the total number of sets played in the first two matches to 10. Whoever wins this match will face Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia in the Final series, already qualified thanks to the double 3-0 victory over Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce.

Coach Francesco Denora presents the challenge like this: “Wednesday’s match won’t be so different from the previous ones. It will take a lot of lucidity on every ball: in the Play Offs it happens that the sets get out of hand in an instant, the tension is high and the energies are increasingly limited, leading you to have ups and downs. I have to say that in the end we are responding well, despite the 23 sets in 14 days, also the result of the excellent work of the staff. We know where to limit them and where they can hurt us: we will face the match well aware of our means and our qualities, those qualities that have led us to become from freshman to great team. I am sure that once again we will try on every ball ”.

Coach Daniele Morato, who took over from the exonerated Coach Gianluca Graziosi, has a much renewed formation compared to last season: the only ones confirmed are in fact the central defender (and former Captain) Antonio Cargioli and the opposite Williams Padura Diaz. Igor Jovanovic is back in the control room, after winning a Scudetto in the Spanish top flight and one in Romania. Diagonally to Cargioli, one of the ex of the day, Riccardo Copelli. The spiker cup has also been renewed, which will be made up of Tim Held and Roberto Cominetti, both from Conad Reggio Emilia, with the latter wearing the ranks of Captain. Free is Alessandro Toscani from BCC Castellana Grotte.
