On Sunday at the PalaParenti in Santa Croce sull’Arno starting from 6 pm there will be a challenge between two teams who won their respective matches on the first day of the championship. In fact, on the two sides of the net there will be Emma Villas Siena and Tinet Prata di Pordenone. The Sienese began with a good performance, winning by three sets to zero on the Sieco Service Ortona court. A success, this, which temporarily gives the Tuscan club the first position in the ranking: on the first day, in fact, no other team won their match by three sets to zero (the match between Ravenna and Porto Viro was however postponed to November 15th ). Siena played good volleyball in Abruzzo, fluid, attentive, with satisfactory percentages both in attack and in reception and with Sebastiano Milan who was the best scorer of the white and blue team with 17 points.

For its part, Tinet Prata of Pordenone was the first team, in chronological order, to achieve success in this A2 championship. On the pitch on Saturday evening, the Friulians got the better of Conad Reggio Emilia at home, winning in the tiebreak and therefore gaining 2 points for their ranking. Tinet’s reaction was good as they found themselves down two sets to one, but found the physical and mental energy to turn everything around, prevailing in the fourth set and then winning the fifth 15-12.

The scoreboard indicates the 32 points scored by a former matchday player, Manuele Lucconi, already in Siena in A2 in the 2019-2020 season (precisely the one with coach Gianluca Graziosi on the Emma Villas bench). Against Reggio Emilia Lucconi ended the match with 64% in attack and many points on the scoresheet. Michal Petras finished the match with 16 points while Jernej Terpin put down 13 balls. It was a good overall performance from the Friulians who celebrated their debut in the championship with a good victory. Speaking of exes, in addition to Lucconi there will also be Dario Iannaccone, in Siena in the 2021-2022 sports season.

The two teams competed a few weeks ago in Abruzzo, in the final of the Città di Tortoreto tournament. Siena won the match 3-1. It was still a pre-season match, the two coaches fielded players who usually manage to find less space for long phases of the match. Sunday’s will be a different challenge, and will offer important and important points for the ranking.
