Coordinated by Vittorino Francani, Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza representative for the school project, by the Headmaster Ciro Marconi and by the teachers Alessandra Manini and Monica Crovini, during the meeting for over an hour Yuri Romanò spoke about volleyball to three hundred students crowded together in the stands of the Palazzetto dello Sport in Fidentino and answered the questions that some of them asked the opposite left-handed red and white, gold medalist with the Italian national team at the 2021 European Championships and the 2022 World Cup.

The meeting was opened by the Headmaster Ciro Marconi who, in welcoming Romanò, underlined the importance of sport for “the social life of each of us” and urged the children to believe in their own abilities and to play sport.

After speaking about the project that wants the red and white club to be ever closer to young people and schools, Vittorino Francani urged those present “to reconcile sport and study because the two things can very well coexist” and underlined the importance “of nutrition in a athlete and that volleyball is a sport for everyone and not just for tall people like Romanò may be.”

Yuri Romanò spoke about his volleyball journey made of “one step at a time” and the importance of the family who “always urged me to study while I was playing volleyball while I would have only done volleyball but that advice was useful given that I am now registered at University” and then underlined that “the important thing in sport as in life is to never be satisfied because there is always room to improve to be at the top”.
