Leondino Giombini, new head coach of Sarlux Sarroch, takes his seat on the Gialloblu bench.
A past as a player that doesn’t need much introduction: a Scudetto with Lube Banca Macerata, a Champions Cup with Sisley Treviso, 134 appearances for the Azzurri with which he won three World Leagues and a European Championship.
Leo “Giombo” Giombini left playing volleyball in 2014 and began his career as a coach, gaining experience in Ancona and Loreto, becoming second coach in A1 with Consar Ravenna and first coach with Plus Volleyball Sabaudia in A3, from which he gave the resignation on November 28.
“I am very happy with the call from Sarlux Sarroch, here there is a desire to do well and straighten out a season that started like this. I can’t wait to get to know the boys and the whole environment better, I expect a lot of fans at the stadium tomorrow, we need enthusiasm and energy to start a journey together which, with the right commitment and a positive approach, will certainly be able to make us have fun and get some satisfaction”

The staff that will support Giombini in Gialloblu will continue to be made up of the second coach Nicola Angius, the scoutman Gabriele Bellucci and the athletic trainer Diego Grussu.
