Today begins the three days of the National Deaf Men’s Volleyball Gathering in Senigallia, where the Azzurri under the direction of coach Zamponi will train as a group to continue the growth path of the many young boys who make up the team. This preparation will find everyone concentrated and focused on the next international commitment, the European Championship, scheduled for July in Turkey.

Among the athletes called up, the confirmation of Lorenzo Cavasin born in 2004 with the Deaf national team has already won two Bronze Medals, the first at the 2021 World Championships and the second at the 24th Deaflympics held in Brazil in May 2022.

The young opposite is in his first season in Cuneo with the “Guesthouse” project, where he competes in the Under 19 and Serie C championships, under the watchful eye of coach Revelli: « Lorenzo was already part of the national team before arriving in Cuneo, we are very pleased with this confirmation with the invitation to the Senigallia Gathering. Cavasin is a player with very interesting physical potential, who still has ample room for growth from a technical point of view and also from being on the pitch. The boy has a lot of enthusiasm and desire to work and for this reason we are very happy that he is in Cuneo and above all we are sure that the job set will help him to become even better. The comparison with the national team coaches at the end of the internship will be very important, to understand what progress they think has been the progress we hope the boy has made in these first 6 months with us. In our team he is one of the best guns we have and we are convinced that for the season finale he will reserve us further improvements.
