The last ball of the quarter-finals of the Promotion Play Offs for the Superlega has just fallen and the sporting disappointment is still hot. But Tinet Prata is aware of having had an extraordinary season, the best in its almost sixty-year history. To stay up there, however, and perhaps even indulge in the whim of taking a little step forward, it is not possible to bask on your laurels. In Via Volta they know it well and that is why the management, with the pair of aces Dario Sanna and Luciano Sturam, did not stand by and worked hard behind the scenes to ensure that the reconfirmed technical staff, led by Dante Boninfante together with his trusty Samuele Papi, a team that can confirm itself at the top levels of the next Serie A2 Credem Banca.
After the already announced reconfirmations of Nicolò Katalan and Carlo De Angelis, one of the first pieces of the Gialloblù puzzle for 2023-2024 is another reconfirmation. This is that of Michal Petras who, after an excellent season that saw him 10th overall for efficiency in attack and 8th best hitter for general statistics in the entire A2, has renewed the agreement with the club of president Vecchies.
“I am very happy to have renewed the contract – said the Slovakian spiker with satisfaction – above all for the trust shown in me by the club. From the first day I felt very good, with a warm welcome. It was also important that our coaches Dante and Samuele signed a new contract. Being able to work every day with two legends of Italian volleyball is wonderful and gratifying”. And the rewards also came on the pitch this season “It was a wonderful year – concludes Michal – and I can’t wait for the next one to try and improve even more”
