Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza – Itas Trentino will host the Final of the 2023 edition of the Del Monte Coppa Italia in the scenario of the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella who will hand over the trophy to the Captain of the winning team at the end of the final.
The Trentino team has come back from 0-2 the initial advantage of Allianz Milano and will thus try to win its fourth success against Piacenza, looking instead for its first Italian SuperLega Cup. Kaziyski (27 points) and Michieletto (23 points) were the protagonists of Itas’ recovery, for Allianz Ishikawa grounded 21 winning balls then went off due to physical problems.
The first part of the set is Allianz branded (10-14). Kaziyski, D’Heer and especially Nelli answer (19-19). Piazza stops the game at 12-7 but the feeling is that Itas has the set in hand and reopens the game (16-9): double Kaziyski, the real protagonist of the set with 8 points, and 25-19 (2-1 ). Coach Lorenzetti’s boys also take the fourth set in hand (12-7) and maintain a constant cruising speed (17-11) while Milan loses Ishikawa due to physical problems. The tie break is almost upon us, at the second set point the Allianz serving error postpones the verdict to the fifth set. Two pipes from Michieletto and an anthology ball from Kaziyski give Itas a first, important lead (6-3). At the change of field it is 8-4, Milan is no longer able to affect, the ace of 12-7 by Michieletto is a sentence: the Trentino spiker closes again (15-9).
