Countdown to the Semifinals of the A2 Credem Banca Play Offs in the best of three matches. The first round of the two series will be played on Wednesday 26 April: at 7.30 pm Vibo Valentia hosts Santa Croce, at 8.30 pm Cantù welcomes Bergamo in the Lombard derby.
In the first match, at 7.30 pm, at the PalaMaiata, the hosts of Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia want to continue a season in the best way that has seen them dominate on all fronts so far, with the victory of the Regular Season and the conquest of the two category. One year after relegation, the Calabrian association wants to seize the chance to return to the Olympus of volleyball and for this reason it has to grit its teeth fighting with other fierce teams such as Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce, a formation that closed the first phase in fourth place. Both teams passed the first round of the Play Offs in two games, but Callipo had to sweat a lot, especially in the second round, to get the better of Ravenna, while the Wolves showed their jaws throughout the series by overcoming Prata di Pordenone thanks to two victories with the maximum gap. This is challenge no. 14 between the Calabrian and Tuscan clubs, the balance rewards Vibo with 13 victories to 8. Many exes: Davide Candellaro, Michele Fedrizzi and coach Douglas Cezar boast spent in Santa Croce, Manuel Coscione dribbled for many years in Vibo.
