Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce that, after Luca Rossato and Kristian Turkaj, the third addition in view of Serie A3 Credem Banca 2023/24 bears the name of Simone Brugiafreddo.
Born in 2002, Brugiafreddo is a spiker born in Moncalieri, therefore a few kilometers from the PalaSanGiorgio in Cavallermaggiore, the stage for the Monge-Gerbaudo Savigliano home matches.
194 centimeters tall, Simone grew up in the youth sector of Chisola Volley, before moving to Parella Turin after completing his maturation with three years in the youth team, a prelude to his debut in the first team, which took place in 2020/21. In 2021/22 he was one of the architects of the salvation of the ViViBanca branded team which, led on the bench by Lorenzo Simeon, snatched the permanence in the third national series in an intense playout against Savigliano. Then, in the year just ended, for him the experience in Serie B, always with the Turin side.
The current white and blue coach represented a good point of reference for the decision to marry the Savigliano project: “Surely the presence of coach Simeon influenced my choice, as we have already worked together obtaining good results, and with the group that was born for next year I’m sure this thing can be repeated. – explains Brugiafreddo – I expect a definitely challenging season on a personal level, coming from a lower category it won’t be easy to carve out space on the pitch, but I will try to put the coach in difficulty, making me ready. As for the team, I’m very confident, we want to work and improve and therefore I’m convinced that we will be able to play a good championship!”.
