Enthusiasm and ambitions are the feelings that accompany Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza ready to play as a protagonist in the 2023/24 season, the fifth consecutive in the Super League for President Elisabetta Curti’s team. After a more than positive sporting year which culminated with the victory of the Del Monte Italian Super League Cup and the victory of the 3rd Place Final which guaranteed access to the CEV Champions League, the red and white team changed very little in the summer. Only three additions: the talented and very young Portuguese setter Bruno Dias, the Dutch Robbert Andringa to strengthen the reception and defense and the Italian central Fabio Ricci who after the season in Siena is looking for immediate redemption in the Piacenza area. The novelty is represented by the technical staff, all new: Andrea Anastasi is the head coach, Antonio Valentini his deputy and Matteo Bologna is the assistant coaches. The Cuban Miguel Gutièrrez joins from Cisterna, while the Spanish expert Angel Trinidad De Haro will be in the control room.

Itas Trentino

After winning the fifth Scudetto in its history, the yellow-blue club is launching a new technical course for this season which bears the signature of coach Fabio Soli. The Emilian coach, fresh from two good years in Cisterna di Latina, will be able to play for the great opportunity of his career by counting on strong points such as the Italians Lavia, Michieletto, Sbertoli and Laurenzano (who won the Under 21 world championship silver medal in the summer ) and Captain Podrascanin (who inherited the armband from Kaziyski), who was joined by still young but already experienced players for the Super League such as the opposite Rychlicki (from Perugia) and the returning Slovenian central defender Kozamernik. For both of them, the opportunity to make a further leap in quality, offering an important contribution not only in attack and blocking but also in serving, which is fundamental and could once again be one of the strengths of the sextet. Compared to the recent past, Itas Trentino will be able to count on an even deeper bench, supported by the arrivals of Magalini (from Verona) and Acquarone (from Santa Croce) and by the important confirmations of Nelli, Cavuto, Pace and D’Heer, all elements who played a fundamental role in winning the last championship. Trento will once again be in the running on multiple fronts, taking into account that it will also play the Champions League and the Super Cup and will aim to qualify for yet another Italian Cup Final Four in its history (it has not failed to access the event since 2009) .

Coach Simoni, Rado’s faithful sidekick, is joined by the third coach Federico Fagiani, with a roster that has added experienced players to the solid structure. Mozic and Keita are confirmed, one of the best interpreters of the role making his debut in Italy. Joining the band were Dzavoronok, reigning Italian champion, Truhtchev, fresh from the title in Bulgaria, and the young Sani. The director’s keys are still in the hands of Spirito, the veteran of the group with an indissoluble bond with the City. At his side is Jovovic, returning to the Super League after his experiences abroad. Amin, protagonist with Iran this summer, has arrived in place two. Everyone confirmed in the center of the net: from Mosca and Cortesia, called up several times by the Italian coach De Giorgi, to Grozdanov and Zanotti.
