Yosvany Hernandez Cardonell is a player of Vero Volley Monza for the 2022-2023 season. The Cuban spiker born in 1991, with an Italian passport, is back from the victory of the Chinese Championship with Beijing BAIC Motors (a well-known team in the Vero Volley house because the formation with which the first men’s team of the Monza reality had a twinning in the 2014-2015 season, with the Chinese tour in Beijing with his athlete Wang Chen), competition in which he was named MVP and finished as best serve. Yosvany Hernandez, who can also be deployed as the opposite, will reinforce the Monza hammer department together with Szwarc, Grozer, Maar, Davyskiba, Marttila and Magliano.
Yosvany Hernandez Cardonell was born in Cinquefuegos, Cuba, on March 26, 1991. After starting to play volleyball in the local team until 2011-12, in 2012-2013 he moved to Belarus for two seasons, to the Stroitel Minsk. The following year he was in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal, and then moved to Indonesia with Jakarta Pertamina Energi first, in Talaea El Geish Cairo, then in Egypt. In 2017-2018 he flew to the United Arab Emirates to Baniyas VC Dubai, while in the 2018-19 sports year he moved to Korea to Ansan Ok Savings Rush & Cash Ansan, where he finished in third place in the scorers classification. After a season at Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers, still in Korea, conditioned however by an injury, in 2020-21 he moved to Turkey to Haliliye. In 2021-2022 Hernandez was bought by the Spanish champions of Guaguas Las Palmas, who will be eliminated by Vero Volley in the Quarter Finals of the 2022 CEV Cup thanks to two victories (3-0 in Spain, 3-1 in Italy), closing it in Egypt, at Zamalek SC Cairo. On Thursday the new hammer from Monza won the championship in China with Baic Motor Beijing.
