Serie A2 Credem Banca does not allow breaks. Having closed 2023 with the defeat suffered last December 30th at the hands of Santa Croce, ABBA Pineto returns to the field. Epiphany in the net for the white and blues, expected tomorrow (Saturday) from the delicate away match of the 14th day on the Consoli Sferc Brescia pitch (6.00 pm). The commitment comes in one of the most difficult moments of the Pineto season: after the seventh consecutive defeat – and the dismissal of Giacomo Tomasello on the bench – the team worked during the week at the Pala Santa Maria under the technical guidance of the duo formed by Loris Palermo and Rosario Angeloni. Both will follow the team in the away match on the Lombardy pitch, where ABBA, predictions aside, is called upon to offer an answer in terms of character.

The trend of unfavorable results kept Pineto anchored at 12 points, three more than the bottom pair formed by Ortona and Castellana Grotte, but also four less than Aversa and Reggio Emilia. Brescia’s championship has a different tone: the Lombards are coming off two consecutive victories and occupy sixth place. In the first leg, last October 22nd, Matteo Paris and his teammates prevailed in a tie-break at the Pala Santa Maria.

“It was a complicated week – confirms Loris Palermo – which came in a period in which we are not reaping results. For this reason, morale is not the highest, even if the team continued to work with concentration on the pitch, eager to get out of this situation. We are aware that we are facing a very strong opponent away from home and we know that we will have to fight for every ball if we want to try to achieve a positive result.” The moment requires unity and unity of purpose: “We said it to ourselves with the boys: unite it is fundamental because, in this phase more than ever, there is a need for everyone’s contribution. We do not hide and we know that we find ourselves in a difficult situation, but we are equally aware that by continuing to seek improvement day after day, which the team has been working continuously since August, we will be able to reverse the trend.”

THE OPPONENT. Reggio Emilia (3-1) and Castellana Grotte (3-1) were the last two opponents to fall under the blows of Consoli Sferc, unbeaten at home since last November 12th (3-2 at the hands of Siena). The Lombard club recently secured the libero Nicola Pesaresi for coach Roberto Zambonardi, who has been in the Super League with Milan, Verona and Civitanova for the last 11 years.
