It’s the last chance, the last chance for Massimo Eccheli’s MINT Vero Volley Monza to continue racing for the tricolour of the SuperLega Credem Banca 23-24. Tomorrow, Sunday 28 April, at 6.00 pm (live on Rai Sport and VBTV), in front of the friendly public at the Opiquad Arena in Monza, the Brianza team will challenge the reigning World Champions Sir Susa Vim Perugia in Game 4 of the Scudetto Final .

Having lost the first two matches at Pala Barton – curiously both by 3-1 -, the Monza team are aware of having to pull off a superlative performance like the one expressed in Game-2 to even the score in the Series and postpone the verdict to Game-5. What made the difference in the last match for Leon and his teammates was the serve, with 9 team aces useful to mark the break in the hot phases, especially in the first and second game.

Monza, however, did not hold back, creating several problems for Lorenzetti’s team with Takahashi and Maar hammering well from nine meters (2 aces each for the two spikers). The Lombards will have to try to make fewer errors (27 against Perugia’s 19) and to improve the blocking-defense correlation (5 blocks against the 10 of the Umbrian team), fundamental which has given so much satisfaction during the current season.

The Brianza team will be able to count on the contribution of Stephen Maar, author of a 28-point effort in Game-2, protagonist in all phases of the game and in the important moments of the match. The contribution of the other two spikers Takahashi and Loeppky was also immense, but all the MINT boys, authors of an “enormous” season, deserve a personal mention after a wonderful journey. Eccheli’s boys have no intention of retreating even an inch, and are ready to put all their remaining energy into the Brianza Taraflex, certainly also being able to count on the support of the numerous fans who will flock to the stands of the Opiquad Arena to dream , once again, to continue fighting for the Scudetto.

THE OPPONENT | SIR SUSA VIM PERUGIA
Angelo Lorenzetti’s team, the coach who won the Scudetto last year in Trento, reached the Play Offs as the second force in the tournament and then eliminated Verona in the quarter-finals in just three games and took one more to get the better of Milan in the Semi-final , always giving the feeling of having the pulse of the situation. In the ranks of the Perugian team all the athletes on the roster managed to carve out spaces for themselves and what made the difference was the strength of an amalgamated group in which there are many tenors and a single choir.
