Ferre Reggers (Allianz Milano): “Against Perugia it’s never a match like the others and it’s never easy. We really played hard today. What a team, what an audience, what an arena! I’m really happy! This evening we once again demonstrated that those who face us can never take anything for granted. It’s never over with us. We may be 2-0 down, but we’ll fight until the end. They were truly wonderful emotions.”

Massimo Colaci (Sir Susa Vim Perugia): “A thousand things can be said, there are many clichés that can be used, the truth is that we have wasted opportunities, obviously net of the merits and demerits on both sides. Too bad, without a few mistakes it could have gone differently. I’ve been putting victories and defeats in the drawer for twenty years, so let’s move on. We will look at the match again, we will try to do better and avoid the mistakes made today in Game 3 on Sunday in Perugia.”

Mint Vero Volley Monza still tastes bitter. Massimo Eccheli’s team was also forced to give way in Game 2 of the SuperLega Credem Banca Scudetto Semifinals against the Italian Champions Itas Trentino. Within the friendly walls of an Opiquad Arena packed with more than 3500 fans, the hosts lost in four sets (15-25; 25-21; 18-25; 18-25). The Consortium’s flagship men’s team, after struggling to find the rhythm in the first set, redeemed itself with courage and determination by winning the second set. In the last two games, however, Trento managed to impose itself on the Brianza team despite strenuous resistance. The Italian champions thus fly to 2-0 in the series. MVP of the match Alessandro Michieletto, author of 17 points. Top scorer for the Brianza team was Eric Loeppky, in double figures with 19 balls put on the ground, followed by Gianluca Galassi and Arthur Szwarc, both with 13 points scored. Mint Vero Volley Monza’s Play Off journey is not over yet. The Lombard team will play their last chance to reopen the series at the “Il T Quotidiano Arena” in Trento with the first match on Sunday 7 April at 5pm.
