In the second round, Belluno Volley changed gear. And, three days before the end of the regular season, it boasts the best average points of the group associated with the white color of Serie A3 Credem Banca: 9 matches played, 22 points in the field and an average of 2.44 per game (against 1 .58 of the first leg).

Only Senini Motta from Livenza boasts similar figures, if it is true that they have obtained 24 points in 10 matches. And it took to the field one more time than the rhinos. Which, in 2024, recorded only one failure: on January 14th, in Mirandola.

On the road, two tie-break victories then took shape (in Brugherio and, the most recent, in the midweek round of San Lazzaro di Savena against Geetit Bologna) and another two with full spoils (in Cagliari and Salsomaggiore Terme), while in front to the friendly public, Gian Luca Colussi’s boys have always achieved all the points: 4 victories out of 4, 12 points won out of 12 available. And just one set down, with the Piedmontese side Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano.

But, as anticipated, the regular season is not over yet. In fact, the best part is coming right now. And, to obtain the best possible placing in the playoffs, it is necessary to confirm these rhythms also in the last triptych. Starting from the stimulating match on Sunday 10 March (6pm), at the Spes Arena, against the league leaders Gabbiano Mantova: the former player on duty will be Marco Novello, who with his teammates was the protagonist of the Italian Cup finals, staged last weekend in Fano. In the semi-final, Mantua was unable to overcome the hosts Smartsystem (1-3 score), despite the 28 points of the opposite team who, last season, wore the rhinos’ shirt.

A very interesting duel is therefore looming on the horizon: on the one hand, a team with an open streak of six victories and third in the rankings; on the other, the leader. It will be a spectacle at the Spes Arena.
