“A battle over details”: Saverio De Santis comments on the challenge against Gioia and looks to the future.
Saverio De Santis, libero of Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria, analyzes the defeat at the tie break against Gioia del Colle, in a match fought point by point. “It was a very high level race”, comments De Santis. “They played well, but we also did our part. As can be seen from the partials, the match was balanced and was played on the details.”
De Santis underlines the excellent inclusion of the new arrival Enrico Zappoli: “He is an experienced player who can give us a hand and he demonstrated it today too. But let’s not forget who has made a big contribution up to now. We are a team with 14 players who push every week in training and this was also seen today in the pace we set.”
What was missing to bring home the victory? “There were some details missing,” admits De Santis. “They are an experienced team, stronger on paper and today they won. We’ll see how it goes in Gioia del Colle.”
