Emma Villas Siena trained this morning and then left for the Marche region, towards Fano. Where tomorrow afternoon (start at 6pm) coach Gianluca Graziosi’s team will play the twelfth match of the A2 series championship. The Sienese have the aim of returning to away success, which has been missing since the second day: the match in Pineto was the only one that the Sienese have managed to win away so far, in a tiebreak.

This is what the assistant coach of Emma Villas Siena, Marco Monaci, spoke on the eve of the match: “We know Fano’s qualities, it won’t be an easy challenge for us. They have experienced elements like the setter Coscione and Marks is doing very well. In general the whole roster is of quality. In previous away games we didn’t perform at our best, even though we fought and lost several sets with advantages. We will try to reverse this trend. We come to this match with confidence, given that at home against Palmi we put on a very good performance. We trained well during the week and now we hope to achieve another good result. We have to try to win as many points as possible.”

The Marches have only one point less in the standings than the Siena and they come from the beautiful and important victory obtained at home against Catania 3-1 and with Marks scoring 21 points.
