Emma Villas Siena have won seven consecutive victories in the championship. A thread that began last December 17th in Porto Viro and continues. The Tuscans also achieved success at the PalaFrancescucci in Casnate with Bernate, in a match valid for the fifth day of the return round, defeating Pool Libertas Cantù with a solid, lucid and careful performance on all the various fundamentals. It was a mature performance from the boys trained by coach Gianluca Graziosi, who won the three points in Lombardy, winning the match by three sets to one. With this success the Sienese have gained a position in the ranking, placing themselves in second position with 39 points behind Grottazzolina which has 44 points. There are now 13 victories obtained by the Sienese in the eighteen matches played so far in the championship.

In the standings Siena has now overtaken Cuneo, which after leading 1-2 lost 3-2 in Pineto, and which now has 38 points. Immediately behind, in a very short ranking, are Prata di Pordenone with 37 points and Ravenna with 36 points. The playoff zone is currently closed by Brescia with 31 points and Porto Viro with 29. The first team that would currently be excluded from the playoffs is Santa Croce, which has 24 points (fifteen less than the Sienese) even if the red and white wolves have a match to recover.

The week of training at Emma Villas has already started again and the next match scheduled and on the calendar is now the match against Brescia, which will be held on Sunday 4 February at the PalaEstra starting from 6pm. This is already a sort of appetizer of playoffs: the one in Viale Sclavo will in fact be a match between the teams that currently occupy the second and second place in the ranking.
