Cisterna Volley is preparing to meet Allianz Milano for the fifth time in its history, on the fifth day of the Playoffs for 5th place, with the aim of gaining access to the semifinals on the field. After the precious success against Sonepar Padova, the Pontini currently occupy fourth place, but the games remain wide open.

The challenge is scheduled for Sunday 27 April at 7:30 pm at the Allianz Cloud, a sports hall where Cisterna is still looking for its first success. Coach Falasca’s boys can aim for third place in the group, a goal that can be achieved even in the event of a tie-break victory thanks to the greater number of victories obtained compared to their rivals. A full victory would make the path even more favorable, especially in view of a possible arrival with three teams on equal points: in this case, if Cisterna, Milano and Padova were to all close at 7, it would be the Pontini who would conquer first place in the group. Between Allianz and Padova, however, to establish the final position, the set quotient should be used or, in the event of further equality, the points quotient.

Efe Bayram (Cisterna Volley): “We are coming off a real sporting battle against Sonepar Padova. They played very well, but we lost a bit of rhythm at a certain point, managing to then find the victory at the end of a great match in terms of play. In this period, there have been many rotations on the court, which can sometimes lead to small moments of stalemate before finding balance on the court. Personally, I am very happy, because it is my third season here and I can say that the Palasport has reached another level since my arrival until today. In the last match, there were 1,600 people cheering for us, all passionate about volleyball. It is something that makes me really proud, because in these three years I have seen this environment grow season after season. It is incredible, and it is a great personal satisfaction. Against Allianz Milano we will do everything to try to win. The situation in the standings tells us that we need to win to be sure of getting to the semifinal and maybe trying to finish in third place in the group. Ours has been a great season, we have reached an excellent level, but in this final phase the tiredness, like for everyone, is felt, we will have to be good at doing our best to aspire to success”.
