Having left for Brazil a couple of days ago, Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia is preparing for their debut at the 2026 Club World Cup, which will be held in the South American country for the second consecutive time. The Block Devils qualified after winning the 2025 CEV Champions League and are aiming to bring home the trophy after their successes in the 2022 and 2023 editions.
The Umbrian team’s debut in the intercontinental competition—which will be broadcast live on DAZN and VBTV—is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16, at 5:30 p.m. Italian time, when Giannelli and his teammates will face Libyan side Swehly Sports Club.
The other teams in the same group as Perugia (Pool B) are Sada Cruzeiro, who triumphed last year, and Osaka Blueton, a Japanese team that features, among others, former Piacenza volleyball player Antoine Brizard.
