It was a good test for coach Tommaso Zagni’s team, who already showed solidity and character despite the intense preparation workload. The match was an opportunity to demonstrate their initial team understanding and test new playing styles ahead of the championship.
The final minutes of the match were met with satisfaction from the players: “The first test matches are especially useful for getting rid of the rust and building team spirit,” commented setter Filippo Santambrogio. “We’re just getting started and there’s still a lot of work to do, but the performance was positive and gives us a good foundation to build on next week.”
