Negrini CTE Acqui Terme’s preparations continue in fine style. In the double March test played on Saturday in Ciriè, they faced Volley Garlasco and Pallavolo Valli di Lanzo. These two teams, which belong to different categories than Serie A3, provided valuable opportunities to test new strategies and test the team’s fitness.

Coach Michele Totire’s players won both matches: in the first match, they defeated Garlasco 3-0 (25/17, 25/22, 25/17), while in the second match, they prevailed 2-1 (21/25, 25/22, 25/22) against Valli di Lanzo, after a subdued first set.

A positive test not only in terms of results, but also in terms of the technical and mental responses achieved, as the Acqui coach himself emphasizes: “Having played against teams in different categories that we won’t face in the championship, I was interested in seeing individual performances and trying out some individual moves ahead of the championship, and I did,” explains Totire. “The young players are surprising me more and more. In the second match, we lost the first set because we were slow. I’m really pleased with how the more experienced and younger players are integrating, challenging each other. We have a complete team, with changes in all areas: the quality has increased.”
