Last September 28th, the team won the World Cup final against Bulgaria, and today, Tuesday, November 4th, they were received and awarded at the Modena City Hall by Mayor Massimo Mezzetti.

The two Modena Volley players, Simone Anzani and Luca Porro, were the protagonists: both were awarded the traditional silver grosso, a symbol of gratitude and civic recognition. The club was also presented with a book dedicated to Modena, testifying to the deep bond between the city and one of its most beloved sports communities.

“It’s always exciting and moving to look back at certain images,” says Anzani. “We’ve experienced intense and beautiful days. Now it’s a closed chapter; these are moments we enjoy reliving and trying to move forward. It’s a source of pride to represent the city’s colors; if we’re here, it means something truly important has been achieved. Perugia? If this is the starting point, it means there’s plenty of room for improvement. I’m very confident; there’s so much enthusiasm and a desire to work hard every day. One of our goals is to always have the PalaPanini’s support; we’re definitely on the right track.”
