They say that well begun is a good thing… Evolution Green Aversa returns to victory and does so with a great performance against Delta Gruop Porto Viro, in the match valid as Game 1 of the round of 16 of the Del Monte Coppa Italia. Sumptuous performance by MVP Arasomwan but a true team reaction by captain Rossini and his teammates who now dream of conquering the passage of the round and accessing the quarterfinals. Next Sunday, at 6 pm, we go to Veneto for Game 2.
FIRST SET. When Sperandio finds the wall on Motzo he gives the first +2 to his teammates (5-7). Evolution Green Aversa, however, does not accept this and finds the overtaking (13-12) with the winning attack by Canuto. Point for point, until the ace by Santambrogio that is worth 18-20. The first set point is for Porto Viro (23-24), time out called by coach Tomasello. It goes to advantages. Porto Viro wins 24-26.
SECOND SET. The Normans enter the court better and extend to 8-4. When Lyutskanov wins a ‘confrontation’ at the net the scoreboard says 12-7. At 16-9 coach Morato calls his first time-out. Evolution Green has more, super attacks by Motzo and Lyutskanov and it’s 19-10. Two blocks in a row (Frumuselu and Motzo) and the set is gone (21-10). At 23-10 the very young Agouzoul also enters the court, hugged by his teammates. Canuto closes, setting the score at 25-11.
THIRD SET. On Arasomwan’s ace Aversa finds the +2 (6-4). Monster block by Frumuselu for the 9-6. Coach Morato calls his boys to the bench when the score is 17-13. Aversa is a steamroller: ace by Garnica, +7 (20-13).
