A few hours separate Evolution Green Aversa from the departure towards Porto Viro where Game 2 of the Coppa Italia Serie A2 round of 16 will be played (Sunday 13 April at 6 pm). The one speaking is the team’s beacon, Fernando Garnica, who sends a message full of energy and motivation and recalls with great pleasure the two seasons spent in Veneto. “This game must represent a motivation for all of us – explains the Argentine director – for the group, for the club, for the city. It’s always nice to add a medal, a trophy to the trophy cabinet. We have what it takes to do it, the percentages give us a concrete chance, but then everything will depend on how much head, legs and heart we put into the field”.
A tough match at the home of a solid team, but Garnica doesn’t hide: “The Porto Viro arena is a real fortress. It’s small, intimate, with a warm and engaging crowd. But I’m positive, I really think we can do well. And getting through the round would also allow us to take a breather, recover energy and sort out some physical team situations that we’ve been dragging around for a while. It would also be an advantage on a mental level. I spent wonderful years in Porto Viro, I had a great time with my family and it’s always wonderful to return to what is a home, where there are so many friends that I’ll be happy to hug again”.
