An excellent first outing of the season for the EnergyTime Spike Devils Campobasso. In the “Città di Isernia” triangular tournament, the Rossoblu, in two matches against two A2 teams, fell to Giacomo Tomasello’s powerful Aversa, but prevailed 2-1 over Macerata, led by Romano Giannini and former players Fabi and Diaferia.
The match against Aversa saw the Rossoblu stay fully in the game, highlighting the skills of Bulgarian spiker Valchinov (sixteen points and a fantastic 70% success rate at the net on twenty balls attacked), with the Campanians winning both the first (25-23) and second sets (25-21) only in sprint fashion.
