Cisterna Volley returned home, taking with them the third-place finish they earned in Lublin at the Bogdanka Volley Cup and a healthy dose of confidence after their tie-break victory against Jastrebski Weigel. Tomorrow (Tuesday), the team will return to training in the afternoon (gym only), followed by the official presentation at 7:30 pm at the Palasport on Via Delle Provincie.
Sporting Director Candido Grande: “The Bogdanka Cup was a great experience for us, and participating in such a tournament was a source of great pride. We faced two of the three strongest teams in the Polish league, losing heavily to Projekt Warszawa and winning a tiebreak against Jastrebski Weigel (the other team participating was host Bogdanka LUK Lublin). Playing in a packed arena was truly exhilarating, and the home crowd cheered us on as we faced their rivals; the event was impeccably organized, beyond compare.
