There are only two days left until Cisterna Volley returns to the Palasport field on Viale delle Provincie, where they will face Sonepar Padova on the fourth day of the Playoff 5th place group. The goal is clear: to earn precious points to get back into the top four teams in the group and gain access to the semifinal. The situation in the standings is very balanced: four teams out of six are tied on points, each with one victory to their name.

Padova arrives at the appointment after having clearly lost to Allianz Milano (0-3), but also after having overcome Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina 3-0 in the previous round. The main offensive terminal of the Venetians is Tommaso Stefani, author of 49 points in the first three days and absolute protagonist in coach Cuttini’s chessboard. Despite the notable absences such as those of Shayo Liberman and Marko Sedlacek, Padova was able to count in these Playoffs, on the return to the field of the middle blocker Alberto Polo, who had already scored 15 points in the current phase of the tournament.

Sonepar Padova closed its path in the Regular Season in ninth place in the standings, one position behind Cisterna Volley. The path that led to salvation and qualification for the Playoffs 5th place for coach Cuttini’s boys was made of six victories and sixteen defeats.
